A UK -2/-1 matrix in decent condition was a bit out of my price range, therefore the next best thing: a Danish version from 1969, made from identical metal parts.
This is the reference track to which every other would have to be measured with. Overall, a very balanced matter with a profound bassline and decent detail in the heights, while still retaining great clarity and power in the middle range. If found in good shape (which is not easy nowadays), a very consistently pleasant listening experience overall.
